We all like to test our guitars with an amp we own, so I’m offering you 14 days to try this guitar. If you don’t like it, you can simply send it back to me without hassle.
I play, collect, and restore Vintage Japanese Guitars, and when the right time comes, I let them inspire someone else!
This is part of my collection. I own over 30 MIJ Stratocasters, mostly Tokai, Greco, Fernandes, and Fresher. I searched for them and bought them directly from their owners in Japan, then imported them to Europe. I stabilize them to perfect humidity (45-55%) and restore them.
Jeff Beck’s signature is a crazy Greco Slab Board Stratocaster with plenty of sounds available!
Jeff Beck Greco SE600J is a guitar loved by collectors. It is also a workhorse that produces many sounds, including singles combined into a humbucker, two singles out of phase, and more!
From a constructional point of view, this Strat is a nearly perfect replica of the 1959 Strat, the closest you can get to the vintage ’59 Strat without spending a fortune.
This guitar is in good condition. There are many chips, but the white finish has a beautiful yellow shade, so I decided not to push cleaning too far so I wouldn’t destroy it.
It was in my collection from April 2021, but I decided to move it forward because it deserves to be played daily while I’m not able to play all my Strats 😱
Greco in 1981 was a year after switching their entire production to more history-correct models that represent the best Fender years (’54, ’58, ’59, ’60s, and ’70s).
In general, the period between 1980 and 1982 was the best for Greco in terms of craftsmanship quality and general playability of guitars, especially for Fender replicas (that’s the famous “Super Real Era,” something that’s hyped and worth the hype 110%!). If you want great Greco, hunt for the one made between 1980 and 1982. You won’t regret it.
I have replaced one of the mini-switches in the guitar.
It comes without a case or gigbag; the hard case on photos is not for sale.
